Notables this week

This NYE post work, I went home and did some reflecting. I wanted to take a step back and take a look at my life and see where I’m at and where I want to be. I ended up writing a 15 year plan and realized its 4am and I need to go to bed. This past year has been an interesting one to say the least. Lots of ups and downs. But I’m very optimistic about the future and ready to put in the work. I never really take a step back and look at where I want to go in life. I normally just look back and feel like I haven’t done much the past 10 years. But I have done a lot and learned, loved and lived my life. But I haven’t set any long term goals with actual plans of action in place. Not like this I guess. In 15 years, I’ll be 53. Still prime age but I want to be slowing things down (with stressful workloads) and enjoying more of life and what it has to give. I know life will have its twists and turns but I’m determined to achieve my goals and dreams.

January 4th was my 3 year anniversary of no Alcohol! It feels great to be clean but still learning how to navigate this new life. I’m beyond thankful to be sober! I couldn’t do it with out y’all and y’alls support! Love you guys!

Entertainment this week

T.V. - Still watching Southern Charm. Just finished season 9. Now onto Season 10. Its a topical time to watch because Craig and Paige just broke up. Sad, very sad. If you havent watched this show at all, I would just go back to season 7 or 8 and watch from there. Then you can go back and watch from the begging if you still liked it and wanted to know more origin stories of some of the cast. But its a great guilty pleasure show for me to escape from everything and slow things down. Definitely not for everyone.

This show makes me very thankful that I don’t drink anymore.

Movies - So many good movies out now that im excited for them to come to streaming. With movies like Nosferatu, A complete Unknown, Wicked and many more!

Music - In Honor of life and being 3 years sober.

Weather this week

dude. Its fucking cold. You should come in for a drink this week and come visit me.

Sports this week

NFL leaking into the Playoffs, im excited! Rooting for the Lions to squeeze out a Super Bowl.
