Notables this week

Oh boy! What a busy October! Now its almost over! November should slow down for me but then December is ramping back up with a Wedding and the holidays rolling in!

I had such an amazing time at Cody and Maggies Wedding! Such an amazing powerful couple and meeting all their loved ones was beyond inspiring and amazing. Being at Keeneland Racetrack was Electric! I was struggling with what to wear and thats why I wasn’t at Tumans that Wednesday because I was trying to prepare for that trip!

I loooooooooved dressing up! I really want to do this more. I like putting myself together and being out in the wild. I really need to work on building my walk in closet this fall slash winter. I want to do more fun fits and look fucking good doing it too. I really wish I could wear nicer things behind the bar but we all know how dangerous that is. But thats why I don’t mind thrifting. I can find a cheap classic fit and not worry about it getting destroyed. Days Off I want to start dressing up nice and going out. Even if its just me running to the grocery store. You just don’t see it around much.

This is a hybrid newsletter with the combo of last weeks missing newsletter because I was too busy with Cody and Maggies wedding and visiting my sister and niece in Louisville. Seeing my sister and niece was the best bonus of this trip. I was so happy to be able to see them and spend time with them. They fill me up with so much joy and thankful to have such amazing souls I get to call family. These woman are strong and inspiring to me. Family time is the best time!

Speaking of Family! Its my Moms Birthday this week! Lets wish her a happy Birthday!!! its on November 1st, All Saints Day! I always felt bad because her birthday was the day after halloween. And I LOVE Halloween! I felt bad through my teenage years through my young adult life, I would be pretty hungover for my moms birthday or plan trips for halloween and miss her Birthday. But I would always make sure I had talked to her or see her near or around her special day. She made halloween feel so special for me growing up that I didn’t even realize it was her Birthday week. She did such a great job raising all us kids. She made us kids who we are today! She taught us about community and hospitality. This is why her babies are doing so well in the Chicago Industry scene. She taught us how to make everyone feel included and bring comfort and joy in others.

Well its going to be a good week! I will be working almost everyday this week at Tumans except Thursday! So come on in baby!

Entertainment this week

T.V. - Just watching SNL. I love the sport of SNL. Its already hard writing a newsletter each week. I cant imagine coming up with funny material every week and having the world watch and say “meh, it wasn’t even that funny.” You know how hard it is to put on a Live show each week. The stress! But thats why I love watching!

Movies - I will be going to the theaters for this! I want to get back into the theaters at least once a month. But this movie looks fucking good.

Music - Halloween Classic for me! Ill give you two!
