Notables this week

OMG I’m so sorry. I know I have been bad the past couple of weeks. I have just been so busy with work and life and yada yada yada… NO ONE CARES!

It’s been wonderful seeing everyone over the last couple of weeks! Thanksgiving last week was a whirlwind, with so many people visiting Tumans, and it was truly beautiful. I wish I had more time to spend with you all. Here’s the thing: I want to give you all the time in the world and make you feel like you’re the only people in the bar. But it gets tricky when it’s busy, and I need to spread that time around, not just with the other guests but also making drinks for the entire restaurant. Sometimes, I need to allocate that time grabbing ice, changing a keg, or getting another bottle of Malort. But you all show me such patience and grace. You’re all way too kind and understanding. I remember going home last week after working feeling down on myself because I couldn’t be there for all of you. I was overwhelmed and felt defeated. But you, especially the people who read this newsletter, are so understanding and make me feel seen and loved.

So, thank you guys! You make Tumans such an amazing community!

Also with the Q4 coming to an end in about a month, What a year of growth and so many things to be grateful for! This year, I’ve done a lot of growth within myself. I’ve learned that it’s okay to be alone and to embrace it. I’ve found a new love in taking care of myself. I’m making better financial decisions in my life. Really thinking and making changes to be the man I want to be. I’m very proud of myself and also excited for what’s to come. I still have a lot to learn and grow, but I’m excited you all are along for the ride!

This week, I’ll be heading to New Jersey for my cousin’s wedding! But I’ll be spending a night in Philly because, why not?! I can’t wait to see my Mom’s side of the family and spend a few days with them! So, this weekend, I’ll be away from Tumans, so please pay attention to the schedule this week! I’m really only missing one day, which is Saturday. But pay attention!

Entertainment this week

T.V. - OMG I finished both Task and Mare of East town. Both were so freaking good! This lead me to finish up severance. Ive been working on this show for like over a year. But I’m determined to finish it! Its very good but sometimes the episodes can be draining. Im really excited to get into and thats “I love LA”!

Movies - Last movie I watched was Eddington and oh boy! Did that bring back some PTSD of the Covid days for me. Just seeing the early scene of people waiting in line spaced out at the grocery store all wearing masks. All the political nuances of covid. WOOF, good movie, makes you think about a lot of things. Made me feel icky after watching tbh. But go check it out!

Music - People hate him but I cant help myself but love his music. Not his personal opinions and stances. He dropped this album on YouTube back earlier this year. I was just going through a breakup. I leaned onto music during this tough time. Still tough. But I have pride on how resilient I was. I am reminded of all the pain I was going through but also proud of where I’m standing right now in life. So it brings another different kind of feelings listening to it this time around.
