Notables this week

What an amazing weekend with all my buddies that I’ve known since pre-school. The quick get away weekend was mainly filled with Golf. I’m not that passionate about golf but I still love the sport and love to play with these men. I loved playing with them and seeing how excited they get! I only played two rounds and the rest did 3. The first Round I played, I didn’t shoot that well but still enjoyed the golf course and the environment. These courses were so nice, beautiful and very challenging! The second day I did much better and shot a 89 (thats with my handicap). Was very proud of myself. But the best part of the trip was the quality time I had with my life long childhood friends. The deep conversations and catching up on each others lives was what the soul needed. Honestly it was all the laughs and inside jokes we have accumulated over our almost 40 years of friendship!

Everything was going great and we were ready to get back home to our families. My family is you guys! IM so excited to get back to work and seeing all your beautiful faces! But theres one problem. The government had made the 10% cuts and I was very affected by all this bullshit. Im currently sitting at the airport with about 5 hours to kill while I wait for my 4th booked flight. On our way to the airport, my 4:30pm had been canceled and moved to tomorrow morning at 9am and wouldnt get me into Chicago until 4pm. This was unacceptable. I asked the check in desk and they said they couldnt compensate for my troubles because these cancelations are a result of the government and not American Airlines its self. So all I can do is get a refund if I cancel my flight. Which I did and just booked a new flight with United. Big shout out to my childhood friend, who was on this trip, connected me with his wife who works at United. She was able to move me to a flight tonight. So I’m currently waiting for this flight to take off. It was scheduled for 7pm but got delayed by 2 hours. So we’ll see if the flight takes off. If it does, I will get back into Chicago by 1am. Which is much preferred!

I really Hope I make it back home tonight and I get to see all your beautiful faces tomorrow! Currently sitting at the airport bar writing out this newsletter.

Entertainment this week

T.V. - Okay, I finished Task and my god it was a great show! Now I have to go and watch Mare of Easttown because people said its better than Task. Damn, I’m late to this train…

Movies - This looks like a fun movie to get really high for and enjoy at the movie theaters! Which I want to start going to movies solo.

Music - This band is our friend groups favorite band. I made a mixtape with mostly CCR and it stayed in my buddies cd player for years. And now we just joke about it but also love everything by CCR. Just good crusing around music with good friends!

Weather this week

Snow to start off the week and then a little chilly but not too bad. IDK Look it up!

Sports this week

Bulls and Blackhawks at the UC are in action bb!

Bears keep winning by the skin of their teeth. My god are they making our blood pressure jump up and down with their style of playing!
