Notables this week

Finding my groove. I feel like I have got my health and fitness on track. I want to lean more into structuring my off days. But also not beating myself up too much about not doing anything that day!

I think I keep forgetting summer is “here” and just used to having cold days and not wanting to go out. I need to BEACH IT UP BABY! Get this summer tan going! Don’t worry, I will have the Sunscreen on!

So I guess I figured out what to do on my off days while typing this newsletter out.

I had a REALLY good Off day, where I biked by the lakefront and took a bunch of pictures. It was such an awesome day to be so free and creative. Definitely adding this to my weekly regimen. That being said. I then came home and relaxed and was going over all the shots. I started making Reels, Storie and Posts onto IG of what I just shot. I posted everything at once and felt like thats the wrong way to do things via social media. I know theres a science to it and when to post and when not to post for the most likes and interactions. But thats not what I’m doing it for, i’m doing it for me. And if you all enjoy it, thats just a bonus! But I’m curious to what y’all think and how do you guys interact with social media. Just trying if to see if I need to tap more into being patient with posting or just keep firing off the hip?

Also got a special guest writer, my buddy, Fowler! He always reads the newsletter and inspires me to write more. He asks about creative tributes to Musicians and Artists that have passed and I normally follow up with that I didn’t know enough about them to write anything. So this week he will be writing a nice piece on Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. See the music section for his article. Entertainment this week

T.V. - Okay, okay, I’m back in. At first I didn’t want to fall in love with the Love Island Cast because I loved last season so much. But I have been pushing through and it really is starting to grow on me and I’m falling for these characters. Proves that you should not judge a book by its first few pages…

Movies - After going to watch Turnstile in theaters reminded how much I loved going to the movies. I think I now know how to really enjoy the theaters. I definitely want to go see this movie in IMAX, should be electric!

Music - Rest easy Brian. These are some of my favorite Beach boy songs. Reminds me of my Pops signing in his Red Ford Ranger pickup truck. He loved the Beach Boys. This also reminds me of just being by the water front and enjoying the beach vibes. But so MANY great songs written!

I also love this song and kinda reminds me of the muppets. Core memories…

melancholy standout "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times" is the thesis
that lands the plane on an album full of lush melodies and harmonies

Happy Fathers Day!!! Shout out to the Legend himself Juanito! I love my Dad so much and beyond lucky to still have him around to annoy the shit out of me! I want to just hangout and film with him! He’s so funny and spontaneous and always down to just go with the flow. I am very lucky to have a Father like him! Love you Pops!
