Notables this week

I cant believe I missed a couple weeks! Life just happens sometimes, sorry about that. Well I missed you guys!!!

Lets see, what did you miss?? I went to Seattle real quick to go visit a friend! It was such a beautiful city! I want to go back! I highly recommend visiting Seattle in August! The best part was viewing Seattle through my friends eyes. I got to go to all his favorite spots. Got to meet his friends and coworkers. It was a beautiful experience and a core memory of Seattle for me.

I wrote this on the plane on my way to Seattle. This was written on 8/7/25.

“Sorry about the delay on the newsletter. I am currently not working this weekend. I decided to do a last minute trip to Seattle to go visit my good friend Andrew and spend some time with him. 

I did work this week, Sunday through Wednesday. It was a very slow week for work. A lot of teachers came in and were enjoying their final week of summer vacation. I can’t believe school is almost back in session. So Im glad the bar was slow enough for them to enjoy a relaxing evening at the bar. I know that job is not easy at all and commend them and their service to the community in teaching the future. 

I use to get really excited for school to start. I always looked at it as a fresh start and was excited to see the kids that I didn’t get to see all summer. I wasn’t really excited to learn about the topics but more excited to work with my classmates on projects. I was excited how the teachers set up their rooms and their optimism about the up coming school year. Some teachers more serious than others but the balance was good. I have to give a big shout out to my one teacher Mrs. Olsen. She was the first teacher I felt that cared about me and would put in the extra work to help me get my school work done. Sometimes I was challenged and overwhelmed and would shut down. She had the patience to sit there with me and help guide me through the assignments. 

Well I guess Fall is upon us but I want to hold onto summer a little bit longer. But I will say that this summer was a learning curve. It was my first single sober summer and I felt like I did a lot of self reflecting and doing things that made me happy. I now know how I really want to spend my summers and really utilize my time. 9am wake up calls and getting in my workout/runs before 11am. Then go lay out and work on my tan for an hour or two. Then shower, get ready for work and get some lunch. I’m also in a beach volleyball league that starts this week, so that will help feel like summer is still going., Im super excited for that! We(Glascotts bar staff) signed up for the second half of the summer.  

Some other news, I bought some new fall boots and jackets that I’m so excited to rock and wear. One of the main reasons I wanted to get in shape was mainly for fashion. I want to be able to fit into all these stylish fits that give me confidence and excitement to go out and about. I’m going to go get some new suits this September for a couple of weddings I’m attending this fall/winter. “

That was the piece I wrote out for last weeks newsletter. I forgot I even wrote this. This is why I do the newsletter. A little time capsule I can look back at and easily access some of these core memories of my life. So I say, Film more, Take more pictures, post more! But do it for you!

Entertainment this week

T.V. - New rotation will be South Park, The latest Sex in the City and Next Gen NYC. I’ll slowly be bleeding into football and doing fantasy football again this year. Last year I did very well and placed 1st. 2nd and 5th place in all three 12 man leagues. This year I’m striving for top three across all leagues. 

I wrote the above on a plane last week.

Movies -  I really want to see the new Naked Gun with Liam Nielsen. It got a great review but I’m excited to see for myself! Always love a good laugh! 

Music - I didn’t know IDLES is coming out with a new Album 8.29.25 Here is the teaser music video for one of the songs on the album.

I need to snap out of it and get ready for Fantasy Football. I am not ready for football to start… But I am at the same time….
