Notables this week

So I got back into running consistently. I had a good routine at the old apartment. We moved back in April and now (couple months later) have finally found my new path. I’ve been striving to start my day off with a quick 2 mile run. This week I hit my PR of 2 miles in 19:59mins. Also new PR for 1 mile in 9:22mins. The real goal for now is to consistantly start my days with a 2 mile run.

Entertainment this week

T.V. - Have you seen Hacks on HBO? So funny and well rounded comedy writing. Easy watch, 30-40 min episodes and less than 10 episodes each season. They just wrapped up Season 3 and have been signed for a fourth Season! Please go watch it so we can talk about the season Finale of the third season.

Movies - Did you see the trailer for “The Bikeriders” that will be in theaters June 21st. Initially grabbed my attention but then I saw a critic review saying “GoodFellas on Bikes” and that immediately turned me off. The cast looks great! Or I’m just a big Tom Hardy fan. I’ll watch it but probably just wait until it’s streaming on one of the many streaming services.

Music - Lily and I were watching the live streaming at Bonnaroo and Pretty Lights were preforming. I haven’t listened to them in forever and then ended up down memory lane. They were playing this original sample track and it opened up my memory of this one EP that used the same original sample. I loved that EP! It was Teams vs Star Slinger and the song was called “Punch Drink Love”. This EP brought me back to my early 20’s living on the west side of Logan square boardering Hermosa. We’re talking almost 15years ago. Anyways, this EP really brings me back to some fond memories of truly exploring the city in my early 20’s.

Weather this week

Gonna be HOT AS HELL… So definitely come on into the bar and cool down with an ice cold Cocktail!

Sports this week

Championships and Stanley Cups… Now onto the Olympics in Paris!!! We still have baseball but we’ll get to Football before we get back to baseball again.
