AWW June 9th - June 16th

My god was this one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had! It was truly special and one for the books!

I have to say, in the beginning of the week, it was a rough ass kicking. Tuesday night I almost broke down and was ready to pour myself a drink. I haven’t had an urge like that because of stress in a long time. But I took a deep breathe and cracked open an N.A. beer. Then quickly tried to change my mindset. I felt depressed because I had let the bar beat me and break me down. I was upset that I even let it get to that point. Then on my actual birthday that morning, I was just feeling so depressed about the night before and being defeated by the bar it was hard going back to work. As a bartender, you can’t really be all melancholy and depressed because nobody wants to see that shit and everyone that’s coming into the bar is going through their own shit and is coming to the bar to escape it. So being sad behind the bar isn’t really an option.

But oh boy did you all help turn that around! So many people came out to visit me at work on my birthday and brought me so many sweets and gifts! I think we helped keep the lights on over at Alliance Bakery! I asked for two types of gifts in my last newsletter and I got both( I GOT FUCKING BOTH!). When the sweet group of individuals yelled over across the bar “check your phone” my heart stopped. I opened up my phone and it was the receipt for the Apple Studio Display… I instantly started crying and couldn’t believe my eyes. I was so taken back, it was damn near impossible to keep bartending. Being that busy truly saved me from just ugly crying behind the bar. It was beyond generous and made me feel incredibly special. All of you made me feel incredibly special! The amount of Love I received that day turned every sad, melancholy mindset immediately around!

So a big thank you to EVERYONE that came out, sent messages, called and spread love on all the social media posts! Ya’ll truly make this guy feel extremely special and loved!

June 9th Sunday OFF

It’s been Puerto Rican Fest and we just moved to Humboldt. So Lily and I will most likely be chilling at home and check out the festival!

Also, Game two of Celtics vs Mavericks in the NBA Finals! Game 1 Celtics put a whoopin on Mavericks. I would like to see a little bit more dog in the fight coming from the Mavericks.

June 10th Monday Tumans Tap 4pm-12am

Game 3 of Celtics vs Mavericks!

I’m not that into the NBA but the NBA Finals truly brings back some hardcore memories of growing up as a kid in the 90’s in Chicago! Major Bulls vibes combined with my birthday! I absolutely loved Dennis Rodman. He was the man! I had his Jersey, shorts and died my hair Green (it was green hair spray)! Such fun times! One memory of mine was when the Bulls were playing the Super Sonics and Shawn Kemp superstar! I remember at my birthday party we had two rooms. One for Bulls fans and the other for Seattle Sonics Fans. The Seattle room had two boys in it and the rest of us were in the bulls room. And the trash talking was unreal for a group of 10yr olds. I just sat back and enjoyed the rivalry. I also think I got 3 Vortex footballs that summer. It was a hot commodity!

Especially to my Pops Juanito!!! Love you dad! Thank you for showing me how positive, loving and how to just roll with the punches. I am truly lucky to have you as a Father! Now lets go play some golf with the new clubs you got me for my Birthday!!!
